PAYAMOS
Promotion of Physical Activity of the Youth through Active Mobility to School
An Erasmus+
project
ABOUT PAYAMOS
European youngsters are becoming less physically active, resulting in increasing overweight and obesity problems. Passive mobility to school in form of being taken to school or back home by parents’ cars or by public transportation (motorized modes) is one of these causes.
PAYAMOS enjoys a diverse European partnership trying to apply a multidisciplinary approach to active transportation to schools (ATS), urban form, and body health of the youth in different European contexts, with both scientific and practical functions that target needs of academia, policymakers, and end-users.
Key function of the project is to shorten the time between knowledge production and transfer of results to users and other non-academic stakeholders.
